‘140 Solutions’ is an art show created by University of Brighton Graphic Design and Illustration students – to inspire and evoke change. The theme is their creative response to small-scale and global crises, featuring issues like gun violence, fast fashion and plastic pollution.
The exhibition features limited edition prints, handmade posters, books, moving image and more.
My favourite was this “Women are not obligated to talk to you” t-shirt and photographs, focusing on women being harassed on public transport. I liked it so much, I ended up buying one of the t-shirts!
Other favourites included “Furry Fran” an illustrated book about a girl who wakes up as a hairy yeti, and “I Do Not Choose to Bleed by Lottie Wright.
Sponsored by Crafted Cans, the beers featured designs by the students which I thought was a really nice touch.
The show is open in the Bozboz Gallery until the 31st of May, be sure to check it out!
