Café Coho Brighton Review

Café Coho is an independent espresso bar and café in the South Lanes. It was founded in 2010 and they provide high-quality coffee with food in a welcoming and friendly space.

I was at a conference at Friends Meeting House and Café Coho was one of the recommended lunch spots, so off we went! The menu is quite varied, with breakfast and brunch options but also sandwiches, cakes, granola and fresh salads. I think it would be hard to find someone who didn’t like anything from the menu! They also have lots of gluten-free and vegan options.

I went for the classic – Eggs Benedict. Carved English ham, spinach, two free-range eggs poached to PERFECTION and hollandaise sauce on a toasted muffin. It was exactly what I needed. The portion size is generous, I feel like you get a lot for your money. They aren’t stingy on the sauce either which I loved – who wants a small dribble of hollandaise?! At Café Coho, you get a good amount of everything, to be honest. It cost £8 which I think is pretty fair for such a delicious and filling plate of food.

I didn’t want to eat too much as I had an afternoon of talks ahead of me, but this really hit the spot. It was reasonably priced, the food arrived quickly and was super tasty. I would definitely recommend Café Coho for a quick lunch in the Lanes.
